We have adopted Kojo from Liberia, West Africa. We have adopted his 2 cousins and are preparing to travel. We need 7,000 people to donate just $1!

MEET KOJO

Kojo -
We started the adoption process 2 and 1/2 years ago. The first six months we did nothing but fundraising. Finally, we received the referral to our son, Kojo. After a 5 month wait for his passport we traveled to Liberia to meet and bring him home (May 2007). During his adoption we learned that he was not the only child from his family that lived in this orphanage.

MEET KOJO'S COUSINS

Kojo lived at Acres of Hope with two of his cousins, age 7 (Nyenna) and 2 (Titus). They have been there for over 1 year. Their adoption came to us as a surprise. We were able to being the process of adopting them, in February, 2007. Kojo and his cousins have grown up more like siblings. With their adoption now finalized they are siblings, and all sharing the “Lorenzen” name.

We were not prepared to adopt 3 children. But after discovering that Nyenna and Titus were so close to Kojo, we felt we had to do what ever we could to keep these 3 together, for the rest of their lives.

JOIN IN, YOU CAN HELP

We need $7,000 in order for Laurie to travel to Liberia, West Africa. We are hoping she can travel in the next 6-8 weeks, if not sooner. We started out thinking we would need $20,000 for the adoption of our 1st son, Kojo. Over time and after a huge leap of faith, that has turned into $47,000. The expense of 3 adoptions, 2 agencies, & 2 trips to Liberia in 1 year! What a race it’s been. Soon our 3 Liberians will be reunited & settling back into a life, lived together.

INVEST $1, CHANGE 3 LIVES
